Following SSU investigation, another three pro-russian agitators sentenced to prison

Based on the evidence collected by the Security Service of Ukraine, three pro-russian agitators have been convicted for justifying russia’s armed aggression and inciting inter-ethnic hostility within Ukraine.

The SSU exposed the perpetrators between 2025 and 2026 through their pro-kremlin posts on social media.

In the Chernihiv region, based on evidence collected by the SSU and the SBI, a contract soldier has been sentenced to up to six years in prison. After deserting his military unit, he began hosting anti-Ukrainian live streams on TikTok.

During these broadcasts, the deserter undermined the honour and dignity of one of our country’s national communities. He also posted on his Facebook page, inciting readers to inter-religious hatred.

Also in the region, a local agitator who had already served three years for calling for changes to Ukraine’s state borders was convicted again.

The repeat offender has now been sentenced to 11 years in prison. The investigation established that, following his release from prison in 2024, he created a group on Odnoklasniki social network with a total audience of 19,000 users.

There, he glorified ruscist armed groupings and justified their war crimes against the civilian population, in particular the strikes on Ukrainian cities.

In the Vinnytsia region, a local singer was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment for advocating the division of Ukraine and attempting to discredit the Ukrainian people’s struggle against the russian occupiers.

As the investigation revealed, the agitator disseminated hostile content through original video recordings which he published on YouTube.

The court found the accused guilty under the Articles of the CCU:

  • 111-2.1 (aiding an aggressor state, supporting the decisions or actions of an aggressor state);
  • 110.1 (encroachment upon the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine);
  • 161.1 (intentional acts aimed at inciting national, regional, racial or religious enmity and hatred, and at humiliating national honour and dignity);
  • 407.5 (unauthorised absence from a military unit or place of service by a member of the armed forces);
  • 436 (propaganda for war).

The investigations were conducted under the procedural supervision of the Chernihiv and Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor’s Offices, as well as the Chernihiv Specialised Defence Prosecutor’s Office for the Central Region.
