SSU materials help to imprison three more militants who participated in attacks on Avdiivka and Bakhmut
Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, three more militants of the "l/dnr" terrorist organization and the russian general staff group called ‘Storm’ received real prison terms.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, all of them have been actively involved in combat operations against the Defense Forces on the eastern front.
The militants were captured during the fighting in Donetsk region.
According to the SSU, one of the militants was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
He is a 37-year-old native of Luhansk region who voluntarily joined the so-called 204th rifle regiment of the people's militia of the lnr at the end of February 2022.
He served in the aggressor's assault units that tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops near Bakhmut in March this year.
Another militant was sentenced to 13 years in prison. According to the investigation, in 2019, he voluntarily joined the so-called 2nd battalion of the dnr controlled by the russian occupiers.
Being anti-tank artillery platoon shooter, the criminal fired at the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the Vasylivka and Kamianka areas of Donetsk region.
In early 2023, he attacked settlements near Avdiivka.
Moreover, a militant of the russian group ‘Storm’, who was captured in the battles for Krasnohorivka in Donetsk region, was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Investigators found that the man was a resident of the temporarily occupied Debaltseve. In February 2015, he joined the so-called anti-aircraft division of the Chistyakov division in the temporarily occupied city.
Later he was transferred to the Vostok terrorist group, where he was a gunner for BMP-1 and BMP-2.
After February 24, 2022, the militant joined the regular troops of the russian federation.
Based on the evidence gathered, the court found the criminals guilty of committing warcrimes against Ukraine.
The operation was conducted by SSU officers in Lviv, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
