Following SSU’s investigation, 2 traitors sentenced to prison for providing enemy with intelligence on AFU’s positions and rotation schedules in Donetsk oblast
Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, two enemy informants have been convicted to imprisonment for passing to the aggressor locations and frequency of rotations of Ukraine’s Defence Forces in Donetsk region.
The traitors tried to identify possible locations of air defence complexes and warehouses with weapons and ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Kramatorsk and Sloviansk.
They also collected data on the time intervals between rotations of Ukrainian troops in the frontline area.
The occupiers needed the intelligence to prepare a series of air strikes on the eastern region using guided aerial bombs and kamikaze drones.
The SSU detained both enemy informants as a result of counter-sabotage efforts in Donetsk region.
Following the SSU’s investigation, the court sentenced one of the accused to 12 years in prison and the other – to 9 years.
The convicted woman is an entrepreneur from Kramatorsk, recruited remotely by the FSB in June this year.
The investigation revealed that her relative had been working for russian-controlled ‘DNR ministry of state security’ for a long time.
It was through him that she passed the collected intelligence to the invaders using a messenger app.
The other convicted person is a resident of Toretsk who provided the occupiers with information on deployment of Ukraine’s Defence Forces in Horlivka sector.
He transmitted the data through his friend, a senior grenade launcher of the 3rd separate motorized rifle brigade of russia’s 1st army corps.
Based on the evidence collected, the court found the woman, informant from Kramatorsk, guilty under Article 111-1.7 of the CCU (collaboration, assistance to the armed forces of the aggressor state in conducting warfare against the AFU and other military formations).
The criminal actions of the enemy accomplice from Toretsk were qualified under Article 258-3.1 of the CCU (participation in a terrorist group or terrorist organization).
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of Donetsk Region Prosecutor’s Office.
