Following SSU initiative, court seizes property of russian oil company worth UAH 400 mln

Upon the SSU’s submission, court seized movable and immovable property, accounts and corporate rights of a group of companies of russian Tatneft. This oil company supplies oil products inside russia for the needs of russian MoD.

Currently, oil depots, gas stations, non-residential buildings, land plots, fuel trucks, cars and corporate rights of the enterprises worth about UAH 400 mln (USD 13.5 mln) have been arrested. After the evaluation of real estate, the amount may increase to UAH 2 bln (USD 67 mln).

The decision is pending regarding transfer of this property under the management of the National Agency of Ukraine for Detection, Tracing and Management of Assets Obtained from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA).

The investigation of criminal proceedings under Article 110-2.3 (financing actions committed for the purpose of forcible change and overthrow of constitutional order, seizure of state power) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is ongoing.

The operation was carried out by the SSU Cyber Department together with the SBI investigators under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
