Following SSU investigation, two collaborators, including GRU informant, convicted to prison

Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, another two collaborators who worked for the enemy in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts have been sentenced to prison.

One of them is an informant of the GRU (the main directorate of the general staff of the russian armed forces). She lived in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, and was in contact with the commander of an enemy special purpose squad.

The woman walked around target areas and recorded locations of the AFU units near the frontline.

The invaders planned to use the asset’s information to carry out air and rocket-artillery strikes on the locations of the Defence Forces.

However, the SSU thwarted these plans due to a timely detention of the traitor in January 2024.

After the SSU’s investigation, the court sentenced her to 14 years in prison.

Another convict is a former employee of an agricultural company in Svatove district, Luhansk region. After the community was seized, he set up a service station in his own yard to repair russian military equipment.

The collaborator also transported personnel and ammunition of the occupation forces to the front line, as well as construction materials for the enemy trenches.

For this purpose, he used a vehicle stolen from the agricultural enterprise.

Later, the man decided to move to Boryspil in Kyiv region, hoping to legalize as an IDP.

The SSU found and detained him. Given his cooperation with the investigation, the court sentenced him to 13 years in prison.

Both enemy accomplices were found guilty under Article 111-1.7 of the CCU (collaboration).

The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural supervision of the regional prosecutor’s offices.
