Following SSU investigation, two traitors convicted for adjusting russian strikes on Dnipro’s energy sector
Based on evidence collected by the Security Service, two agents of russia’s federal security service, detained at the end of October 2025 for directing russian air strikes at Dnipro, have been sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The ‘targets’ of russian attacks at the beginning of the heating season were electricity and heat generating enterprises in the frontline city.
As the investigation established, the aggressor’s strikes were guided by two men, drivers from a local logistics company. One of them came to the FSB’s attention even before the start of the full-scale war, when he was transporting goods to russia.
In the autumn of 2025, he received a phone call from an FSB handler who offered him cooperation in exchange for money. Later, the agent brought his partner into cooperation with the enemy.
It has been documented how the traitors photographed, during cargo transportation, the locations of energy facilities that provide heat and light to most of the city.
Smartphones with evidence of working for the russian intelligence were seized from the perpetrators during the searches.
Based on the SSU’s investigation, the court found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).
The investigation was carried out by the SSU Office in Dnipropetrovsk region under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
