Over past 3 years, SBU has filed indictments against more than 90 leaders of so-called LNR

The Security Service of Ukraine continues to work on exposing and documenting the illegal activities of the leaders of the so-called LNR and its terrorist groups.

This June, SBU investigators served a notice of suspicion to two IAF members, in particular, to the head of the so-called LNR People's Militia Staff and the deputy of People's Council.

It is established that the head of the "Militia Staff" has been leading terrorist groups since 2017 during hostilities against ATO and JFO units. He is suspected of committing crimes under Part 1 of Art. 258-3 (participation in the activities of a terrorist organization) and Part 2 of Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Since November 2018, the "deputy" of the so-called LNR People's Council has been working in quasi-authorities. The criminal made anticonstitutional decisions and took part in separatist information campaigns. He is accused of committing actions aimed at forceful change and overthrow of the constitutional order and take-over of government, as well as trespass against territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.

The court granted a permission to detain the defendants. The criminals are wanted.

In total, over the past three years, SBU investigators have completed the pre-trial investigation against almost 90 members of the so-called LNR.

The indictments were filed to court. In particular, indictments against the so-called high-ranking LNR officials of different times: Prime Minister, Chairman of the People's Council, Minister of State Security, Minister of Internal Affairs, Minister of Communications and Mass Media, Minister of Information, Minister of Education and Science, heads of the State Customs Committee, State Committee for Taxes and Duties, etc.

Investigative actions were conducted under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Luhansk region.
