In Sievierodonetsk, the militant who planned to commit a terrorist attack in Ukraine is being prosecuted. He followed the instructions of FSB curators.
The main target was a key specialist for the development of military equipment and weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During the pre-trial investigation, the SBU documented that the militant came to the Ukraine-controlled territory from Russia. He planned to detonate a car with a key specialist inside using an improvised explosive device.

Allegedly, it was supposed to be revenge of Russian special service for his testimony during the SBU investigation. In particular, in 2021, the SBU initiated a criminal proceeding against FBS agent network that collected and provided the intelligence in defense sphere to FSB curators.

Under supervision of Luhansk Region Prosecutor’s Office, the SBU gathered enough evidence of the FSB agent’s unlawful activities. He is going to be found guilty of criminal attempt, act of terrorism, and unlawful handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives.

The criminal faces up to 10 years in prison.
