Plane with 113 Ukrainians and medical cargo on board arrives in Kyiv from UAE
On behalf of the President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Security Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with partners from the United Arab Emirates and diplomats of both countries, ensured the repatriation of 113 Ukrainian citi-zens who had not been able to leave the UAE before. The plane landed at Boryspil International Airport on April 10.
According to Ivan Bakanov, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, this was made possible by close cooperation between the SSU, the UAE High National Security Council, the UAE Embassy in Ukraine and the Diplomatic Mission of Ukraine in Abu Dhabi, as well as other government agencies.
With the assistance of foreign colleagues, the first consignment of humani-tarian aid to Ukraine from the UAE with a total cargo of 10 tons to fight coronavirus infection COVID-19 was also delivered by charter flight.
