SBU officers exposed on regular receipt of the illegal benefits the electrical supervisor of the communal enterprise for housing service of one of the districts of Kyiv.

Operatives of the special service established that the official has established a scheme for obtaining bribes from local private entrepreneurs for approval of the permits documentation for outdoor advertising. The cost of corruption services depended on the size, number of banners and their location.

The law enforcement officers detained the offender in his office on receiving UAH 24 thousand - the final part of the bribe for placement of advertising media on the facade of aparts house. In the framework of the criminal proceedings initiated under part 3 Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the issue of serving to the detainee a notice of suspicion and choosing a measure of restraint is being settled.

Investigative actions are ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the case. The detection measures were conducted jointly with the National Police investigators under the procedural supervision of the Kyiv Prosecutor's Office.
