The SBU jointly with the Tax Police under the legal supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office stopped illegal activity of two mini-factories, which illegally produced poor quality fuel in Poltava region.

Within the pre-trial investigation, SBU officers established that the offenders organized illegal production of fuel, in particular gasoline and diesel fuel, at the mini-factories.

They sold the products through patrol station network, it’s owner of h mixed fuel with methanol and other dangerous additives, and sold it for cash without cash checks.

During the searches at sites of production, storage and sale of fuel, law enforcement officers seized more than 4,000 tons of various petroleum products worth over UAH 100 million (USD 3.8 million), financial and economic documentation and draft records.

Investigation is ongoig initiated under P. 1 and P. 2 of Art. 204 and P. 2 of Art. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
