We support Ukraine - President of American Chamber of Commerce meeting SSU Head

The Security Service of Ukraine and the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Partnership. Representatives of the Chamber expressed support for Ukraine in its efforts to strengthen the security sector. This was discussed during the meeting of the SSU Head Ivan Bakanov with the delegation of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine headed by its President Andy Hunder.

According to the Head of the Security Service, Ukrainian authorities are making every effort to ensure that Ukraine is a reliable and consistent partner of its allies.

‘This Memorandum demonstrates the readiness of the SSU to cooperate. In times of hybrid challenges to our security, the SSU, within the authority defined by law, will continue to contribute to creation of favorable conditions for business. This is really important for the economic stability of Ukraine,’ SSU Head Ivan Bakanov emphasized.

‘Despite the unstable situation in the media space, the Chamber’s member companies continue to do business as usual, moving the country’s economy forward, having invested over USD 50 bln in Ukraine, creating jobs and yielding government revenue. The business community in Ukraine has positive attitude,’ Andy Hunder highlighted.

The parties agreed that countering hybrid threats in the media, economy and cyber space is a common task of the private and public sectors. The signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation and Partnership once again confirms the intentions of the parties to take practical steps to build a strong state ready to repel the aggressor.
