One of the main tasks set by Russian special services before their agents is to collect intelligence on the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Territorial Defence units. Having this information, the enemy will be able to carry out targeted missile strikes, and its sabotage and reconnaissance groups will not be captured by Ukrainian defenders.

The SSU is actively counteracting to this and only in recent days we achieved the following.

In Mykolaiv region:

The SSU detained a resident of Mykolaiv who provided the occupiers with intelligence on deployment of Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the region, their weapons, equipment and movement.

He also helped adjust missile strikes: he took photos and videos of the targets, after which Russian combat aircraft took off to bomb our military and civilians. After the air strikes, the traitor had to report about the death toll.

It has been established that he had directly contacted the representatives of the Russian Air Force headquarters located in Dzhankoy, Crimea.

In Donetsk region:

The SSU detained three collaborators. One of them is a resident of Velyka Novosilka recruited by members of the DNR terrorist group. After the large-scale invasion, he began to receive instructions from his handlers. They were interested in the locations and number of Ukrainian troops in Volnovakha district.

The second one worked in the management of a security service of Ukrzaliznytsia’s regional branch. He provided the occupying authorities with intelligence on the movement of military equipment. He also tried to inform the enemy about the fortifications and checkpoints, state of evacuation, activities of law enforcement agencies in the region and protection of Ukrzaliznytsia facilities.

Another occupiers’ accomplice was detained by the SSU in Chasiv Yar. He tagged on the maps the checkpoints and locations of the Ukrainian military and passed screenshots to illegal armed groups by messenger apps.

In Luhansk region:

The SSU dismantled an agent network of Russian intelligence services: its organizer and active members were detained in Lysychansk.

The network collected and passed to the Russian supervisor information on the location of the units of the Armed Forces, the National Guard, and the State Border Guard Service. Russian handlers were also interested in the results of the enemy’s shelling of Lysychansk, Kreminna and Rubizhne. The information was passed through Telegram channels created for this purpose.

In Zaporizhzhia region:

The SSU special purpose unit detained a resident who adjusted the enemy’s fire on the positions of Ukrainian military. Following instructions of Russian intelligence, he collected information on the location of military equipment in the region.

 

All the mentioned agents and collaborators have been detained. The investigations are underway. The penalty for high treason is life imprisonment.
