SSU detains well-known lawyer from Dnipro who adjusted russian missile strikes and tried to flee from Ukraine
The SSU Counterintelligence and investigators prevented the escape from Ukraine of one of the most secretive FSB agents in Dnipropetrovsk region. He is a well-known local lawyer who adjusted enemy missile strikes on Dnipro.
The SSU apprehended him while he was trying to escape from Ukraine at Krakivets checkpoint, trying to cross the border.
As the investigation documented, the traitor adjusted a russian missile attack on a local company that modernizes and restores attack and reconnaissance drones.
To inflict maximum damage, the agent provided the FSB with not just the general coordinates of the target, but the exact locations of technological workshops and UAV storage warehouses.
The ruscists struck at his coordinates, killing six and seriously injuring 30 Ukrainians. The strike also damaged civilian infrastructure.
The agent reported to his russian handlers on the consequences of the hit and sent the coordinates of another strategic facility in Dnipro for further attacks.
Communication with the russian handler was through a ‘liaison’. He turned out to be an old acquaintance of the lawyer, the so-called ‘first deputy head of Krasnogvardeisky district administration of Crimea’, who works for the FSB.
The SSU Counterintelligence and investigators documented the enemy agent’s crimes and detained him on his escape attempt.
During the searches of his home and office, mobile phones and SIM cards with evidence of his sabotage activities were seized.
SSU investigators served him a notice of suspicion under two Articles of the CCU:
- 111.2 (high treason, committed under martial law);
- 436-2.2 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
The suspect is in custody and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The operation was carried out by the SSU Offices in Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk regions under the procedural supervision of Poltava Region Prosecutor’s Office.
