Over 500 russian air defense systems destroyed by SSU Special Operation Centre Alpha (video)
On the day of the air defence forces of russian ground troops, the Security Service of Ukraine is marking the occasion in its own way.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, servicemen of the SSU’s Alpha special forces unit have been systematically dismantling the enemy’s so called ‘impenetrable’ air defence shield.
Among the targets hit are key elements of the systems that the aggressor state presents as its most advanced: S-400 and S-300 long- and medium-range anti-aircraft missile systems, Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun systems, Buk-M2/Buk-M3, Tor-M2, Osa, and Strela-10 air defence systems, as well as radar stations, command posts, and detection assets. The destruction of these elements deprives the enemy of coordinated air defence, effectively turning its system blind and fragmented.
The results of this work are of strategic importance. They have enabled the creation of corridors through russia’s multi-layered air defence, allowing Ukrainian long-range drones to strike deep into enemy territory – at bases, depots, airfields, and other military targets.
