SSU CI investigation leads to 12-year sentence for DNR artillery division commander
Following the operation of the SSU Counterintelligence, Chernivtsi Shevchenkivskyi District Court sentenced a member of the DNR terrorist organization in absentia to 12 years in prison.
In 2014, a native of Donetsk, aka Korsa, joined the 3rd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade Berkut, which was part of the so-called Bezler group. From that time, the former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine took an active part in terrorist activities. She received military training in Russia. As an artillery division commander and a colonel of DNR troops, she led the shelling of the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and volunteer military formations with BM-21 GRAD multiple rocket launchers near Ilovaisk, Debaltseve, Vuhlehirsk, Marynivka, Avdiivka in Donetsk region, which caused mass killings.
The court found Korsa guilty of participation in a terrorist organization and sentenced her to 12 years in prison.
Currently, she is a wanted fugitive hiding in the terrorist-held territory of Donetsk region.
The operation and investigation were carried out under the supervision of Chernivtsi Region Prosecutor’s Office.
