Following SSU investigation, FSB agent who spied on Kharkiv defenders under cover of trips to dacha sentenced to 15 years in prison

Based on evidence collected by the Security Service, another enemy agent has been sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. The perpetrator spied on the locations of the Defense Forces in Kharkiv.

The investigation established that russia’s tasks were carried out by a 21-year-old local man, who was recruited by the FSB through a Telegram channel where he posted anti-Ukrainian comments.

Under the guise of trips to a summer house near the front line, the asset tracked the positions of artillery and air defense radar systems protecting the city.

He also searched the area for traces of tank tracks and Ukrainian wheeled armoured vehicles in order to pass the relevant coordinates to the aggressor.

The SSU documented his crimes and arrested him red-handed in January this year while he was conducting reconnaissance near the city.

Based on the evidence collected by the Security Service, a panel of judges found the accused guilty under Article 111.2 of the CCU (high treason, committed under martial law).

The investigation was conducted by the SSU Kharkiv Office under the procedural supervision of the regional Prosecutor’s Office.
