SSU notified 1,000 persons of suspicion of collaboration since war started
Since russia launched its full-scale aggression, the SSU has been investigating over 2,000 criminal proceedings on collaborators. Within these investigations, almost 1,000 persons have already been served notices of suspicion.
Among them are former MPs and officials who supported russian occupiers and voluntarily offered their assistance in the war against Ukraine.
For example, in Zaporizhzhia oblast:
The SSU detained the president of Motor Sich JSC and the head of the company’s foreign economic activity department.
The officials set up transnational channels for illegal supply of wholesale consignments of Ukrainian aircraft engines to russia.
The SSU also served a notice of suspicion to former party of regions MP Yevhen Balytskyi, who voluntarily went over to the enemy when russian occupation forces were capturing part of Zaporizhzhia region.
For this, he was appointed head of the local occupation administration of the aggressor state.
In this ‘position’, the gauleiter fulfills moscow’s instructions to spread the kremlin regime and suppress the resistance movement.
In Kyiv oblast:
The SSU detained a resident of Bucha for helping the enemy identify and physically eliminate members of resistance movement during the temporary occupation of part of the region.
After Bucha’s liberation, he joined the volunteer formation of the local territorial community. There, posing as a defender, he hoped to avoid justice.
In Kharkiv oblast:
Another collaborator was detained as a result of stabilization measures in the liberated towns of the region. During the occupation, she headed the local ‘rospochta’ [russian post].
Shortly after her ‘appointment’, the woman robbed one of the local Ukrposhta [Ukrainian post] offices and handed over to the enemy almost UAH 2 mln paid by citizens for services of the state-owned enterprise.
In Kherson oblast:
The SSU has identified all collaborators and traitors who joined the ‘main directorate of the ministry of interior in Kherson region’ established by the aggressor.
The occupation entity is fulfilling moscow’s task of suppressing resistance and intimidating residents of the occupied areas in southern Ukraine.
Facts of abduction and torture of people by the ‘employees’ of this ‘directorate’ have been recorded.
In Melitopol:
The SSU exposed head of the local ‘department of russia’s ministry of education’ set up by the occupiers.
After her ‘appointment’, the collaborator handed over city schools to the russian guard to be used as barracks.
Later, the enemy used these premises to base personnel, military equipment, weapons and ammunition.
The SSU continues operational and investigative activities to bring each collaborator to justice for crimes against Ukraine.
