The SBU continues to provide a fair and unbiased investigation of archival materials from the SSU Archive about the Holodomor as well as other crimes committed by totalitarian regime. It was reported by the Director of the SBU Sectoral State Archive Andrii Kohut during the international forum “Mass man-made famine: remember and honour”.
In Zaporizzhia region, the SBU has blocked the smuggling of methadone to the temporarily occupied Donetsk. Drugs were sent to the separatist-held territories not across the contact line, but across the border with Russia. The perpetrators made several parcels every month, the cost of one was almost UAH 4 m (USD 149 500).
In Kirovohrad region, the SBU exposed a black archeologist. The offender dug World War II weapons and ammunition. Then, the offender sold them to the criminals in an unlawful way.
The SBU officers exposed and blocked the illegal activities of the group working for an IT company in Kyiv.
The SBU officers served the new suspicion notice to the Head of the Flight Academy of the National Aviation University for taking a bribe. Receiving a bribe is punishable by imprisonment for a term to ten years.
In Zakarpattia region, the SBU conducted tactical-special training exercises at Uzhhorod international airport.
