The SBU military counterintelligence detained the head of a regional branch of one of Ukraine's defense concerns for bribery. For USD 1 m, the suspect promised to illegally transfer a highly liquid land plot in the downtown of Odesa to the ownership of regional business entities.

The Security Service of Ukraine blocked a large-scale scheme for industrial production and sale of counterfeit fuel in Dnipropetrovsk region. Allegedly, the dealers produced wholesale consignments of diesel fuel of dubious quality worth millions of hryvnias every day.
The SBU blocked illicit passenger traffic from the separate districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions (ORDLO) to Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions and back. Allegedly, part of the unlawfully obtained money were paid to finance illegal armed groups.
The SBU stopped the embezzlement of budget money in seven structural subdivisions of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia located in Kharkiv region. The offenders misappropriated the funds paying unjustified salaries and other social welfare payments. According to preliminary estimates, the state losses amount to almost UAH 1 m. (USD 35,714).
In Donetsk region, the SBU exposed two deputy mayors on corruption. They misappropriated budget funds allocated for the reconstruction of social infrastructure. The offenders laundered over UAH 700,000 (USD 25,000) within the state program of the Ministry of Regional Development, Building and Housing and Communal Services.
The SBU terminated activities of an interregional criminal group involved in committing felonies. During simultaneous operations, SBU officers detained seven individuals in several regions of Ukraine, four of whom were members of a volunteer battalion.
