The SSU makes every effort to defend Ukraine against Russia’s military aggression and uses all the experience gained over 30 years of activity. This was stated by the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Ivan Bakanov in his address on the occasion of the anniversary of the Service.

In 30 years, SSU exposed almost 3,000 individuals who tried to undermine Ukrainian statehood

During the 30 years of functioning of the Security Service of Ukraine, its staff identified and investigated criminal proceedings against over 900 individuals who committed treason and almost 2,000 individuals who attempted to trespass against territorial integrity and inviolability of the state.

Since beginning of war, SSU detains over 350 members of sabotage and reconnaissance groups and disrupts international channels for recruiting mercenaries for occupying army

The SSU continues to systematically counter intelligence and subversive activities of Russian occupiers. In particular, the SSU eliminated over 20 sabotage and reconnaissance groups and detained over 350 of their participants.

Conscripts of Russian army are not withstanding the psychological pressure. Some of them mutilate themselves to evade battle, others drink alcohol not to have the horrible memories and realize that this war will remain in their memory for a lifetime.

In telephone conversations with relatives, the aggressors directly admit that they are killing peaceful Ukrainians and committing terrible atrocities. Why? Because ‘people go wild.
