The SSU makes every effort to defend Ukraine against Russia’s military aggression and uses all the experience gained over 30 years of activity. This was stated by the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Ivan Bakanov in his address on the occasion of the anniversary of the Service.

Conscripts of Russian army are not withstanding the psychological pressure. Some of them mutilate themselves to evade battle, others drink alcohol not to have the horrible memories and realize that this war will remain in their memory for a lifetime.
In telephone conversations with relatives, the aggressors directly admit that they are killing peaceful Ukrainians and committing terrible atrocities. Why? Because ‘people go wild.

The invaders realize that instead of a victorious march, they came to hell. So, they are trying to flee to where their troops are stationed.

The SSU is countering subversive and sabotage activities that accompany hostilities on Ukrainian territory. The enemy is using them to influence the course of the war and the citizens’ attitude.
