In Lviv region, the Security Service of Ukraine exposed and blocked the activity of customs officials who organized an illegal import of vehicles to Ukraine. SBU operatives received information that several officials of customs office “Horodok” jointly with customs brokers carried out illegal activity.

Allegedly, in 2017 Donetsk regional highway company signed 7 contracts with a local construction firm for repair of intercity and inter-regional roads for more than UAH 16 million (USD 580,000). The contractor misappropriated most of these funds, providing false data on the quality of the used materials.

In pursuance of the Order of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi to counteract the violation of the road trucks weight-size regulations, SBU blocked systemic corruption in the Black Sea Interregional Department of Ukrtransbezpeka.
