In Chernihiv region, the SBU CI established that Army officers stole military property from their base. The offenders intended to sale stolen property to state-owned enterprises of the defense industry and abroad.
In Volyn region, the SBU seized almost 180 kg of illegally mined raw amber.
The former First Deputy Head of the SBU Dmytro Neskoromnyi was served a notice of suspicion of organizing the assassination of Andrii Naumov, the Head of the SBU Main Department of Internal Security. In particular, he is suspected of trespass against life of law enforcement officer upon prior conspiracy.
The SBU exposed, documented and blocked a large-scale supply of goods worth over UAH 300 m. (USD 10, 714,286) from the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) of Luhansk region. A group of businessmen smuggled goods to Ukrainian industrial enterprises via Russia.
In Donetsk region, the SBU blocked large-scale illegal coal mining at a dormant state mining site. SBU officers established that four private entrepreneurs and a commercial director of a state coal mining company organized the illegal business. They acted on the premises of a closed mine near the town of Hirnyk. Unlawful sampling of minerals took place 24/7 violating safety rules.
SBU Head Ivan Bakanov congratulated officers of the Cyber Security Department on their professional holiday and presented them departmental awards. “The modern world urges us to pay special attention to information and cyberspace. More people want to use development of technologies to their advantage. In addition, there are our joint efforts to counteract hybrid war. Under such conditions, the activity of the Cyber Security Department is a priority,” - the SBU Head said.
In Bukovyna, the SBU exposed illegal scheme of agricultural products export. The scheme was organized by the officials of the Main Department of the State Fiscal Service in Chernivtsi region.
To counter shadowing of the economy, the SBU blocked the illegal sale of wholesale batches of counterfeit cigarettes manufactured in separate districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and temporarily annexed Crimea.
In Donetsk region, the SBU CI officers detained a spy of the so-called L / DNR. The offender testified about Russia's involvement in the military aggression in Donbas.
In due course of the special operation SBU blocked the activities of three organized groups involved in creation of illegal migration channels in different regions of Ukraine.
The Security Service of Ukraine blocked the channel of illegal transportation abroad of the main parts of firearms of various types in the Zhytomyr region.
In Kyiv, the SBU stopped activity of pseudo-broker centers, which under the guise of trading on international stock exchanges misappropriated investors' funds.
