The SBU systematically counteract illegal sale of excisable goods. Recently, SBU officers blocked the sale of counterfeit alcohol in Kyiv, Odesa and Vinnytsia regions, as well as exposed the smuggling of foreign tobacco. Monthly profit amounted to almost UAH 5 m. (USD 178,571).

In the city of Vinnytsia, SBU cyber specialists blocked fraud scheme. The offenders stole citizens’ funds providing virtual "brokerage services". The monthly turnover of illegal business amounted to over UAH 7 m. (USD 250,000).

In Zhytomyr region, the SBU stopped large-scale illegal mining. The engineering and ecological expertise confirmed that the state losses top UAH 42 m. (USD 1.5 m.) in the last nine months alone.
