The SSU exposed a group of fraudsters who blackmailed foreigner nationals in Ukraine. According to the investigation, the offenders posed as the SSU employees and threatened to deport foreigners unless they gave them bribes.
The SSU continues to ensure an integrated response to informational and subversive activities of Russian special services. Since the beginning of the year, over 30 hostile Internet agents have been exposed, 23 of them were convicted for crimes against Ukraine’s state security. The perpetrators used social media to call for seizing power and violating territorial integrity of our country.
The SSU is dedicated to combating large-scale smuggling that poses a threat to the state security of Ukraine. In Chernivtsi region, the SSU dismantled a criminal organization engaged in illegal manufacturing of wholesale consignments of excisable goods for smuggling abroad.
The SSU and UkSATSE (Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise) blocked an attempt to use Ukrainian airspace by a business jet whose owner is on the list of sanctions imposed by NSDC. This is the Verkhovna Rada deputy whom the SSU suspects of state treason.
The SSU is uncovering crimes related to counterfeiting of COVID certificates and PCR test results. The previous day, such schemes were disrupted in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Ivano-Frankivsk. Daily, offenders issued several hundred counterfeits, their total income reached millions of hryvnias.
In Donetsk region, the SSU detained a former IAF member of the so-called ‘DNR’. The suspect was recruiting militants for groups that took part in hostilities against the ATO forces.
The SSU is continuously countering the intelligence and subversive activities of Russian special services against state security of Ukraine. The Service has disrupted a channel of transportation of munitions by the Russian FSB from the temporarily occupied Crimea to the mainland Ukraine.
The SSU has published parts of the testimony of a former militant of ‘DNR’ terrorist organization, who headed Izoliatsiia illegal prison located in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region.
The SSU has exposed systemic corruption in permits issuing by Kirovohrad Region Main Directorate of National Police. In a special operation, the SSU took down a criminal group that included two police officers and an ex-official of MoI.
