The National Security and Defense Council pursuant to the SSU materials approved a decision on economic sanctions against participants and organizers of elections to the State Duma in the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea in September. This decision was approved by NSDC today.
SSU conducted special operation as a result of which 3 individuals, who in 2016 committed series of attacks on the financial institutions and cash transit vans in Zaporizzhia, were detained.

In Vinnytsya region, the SSU conducted multi-stage anti-terrorist drills near border areas.
SSU cracked down the scheme on illegal movement of persons across the state border of Ukraine. On the grounds of fake documents, the offenders facilitated migrant smuggling to the EU countries, estimating their services at USD 5,000.
In Derhachi, the SSU cracked down the scheme of misappropriation of budget funds allocated for preschool reconstruction. The total amount of money laundered is UAH 2 m. (USD 76,200).
In Kharkiv region, SSU is looking into circumstances of cut-off of gas supplied by JSC Kharkivgaz in Blahodatne, Kharkiv region. Officials of this private entity extorted extra payments from consumers with no grounds for this, substantiating these demands by alleged orders of the President and state leadership. In this way, the perpetrators incited mass protests that could destabilize the situation.
