The SSU is working systematically to protect critical infrastructure and counteract to terrorism financing. In 2021, the SSU investigations helped restore state ownership of dozens of strategically important entities worth over UAH 8 bln (USD 285 mln).

The SSU is protecting critical infrastructure of the oil and gas sector. Following the SSU investigation, notices of suspicion were served to two participants of the scheme of misappropriation of natural gas, which was reserved for the use by government agencies of the Ministry of Finance.

The SSU officers found a real cache of weapons and ammunition during counter-subversion exercises in Donbas. According to preliminary data, the cache was set up by Russian-backed militants to carry out sabotage in the region and resist the ATO/JFO forces.
