“Russian military build-up near Ukrainian borders caused a large number of cyber attacks against Ukraine,” the head of the SBU Department of Cyber Security Illya Vityuk emphasized.
In the city of Kherson, the SBU and the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea held a staff meeting. The main topic was a security situation on the administrative border with the temporarily occupied territory of the AR of Crimea.
The SBU prevented the smuggling of 2.8 kg of cocaine valued at circa UAH 11.5 million (USD 410,715) at black market prices. The foreigner smuggled illegal drugs to Ukraine from one of the Latin American countries.

The terrorist attack was used by representatives of the aggressor state in the hybrid war against Ukraine. Two members of the offender’s subordinate armed group were also involved.
In Kirovohrad region, the SBU blocked the activities of a criminal group producing and selling petroleum goods of dubious quality without the appropriate permits. The monthly turnover of the illegal oil refinery exceeded UAH 1 m (USD 35,700).
In Sumy region, the SBU documented embezzlement at Okhtyrska CHP organized by the management of a Kyiv company. The offenders misappropriated over UAH 40 m. (USD 1.4 m.).
Officers of the SBU Main Department of Internal Security exposed a group of racketeers in Rivne region. It is documented that the participants extorted USD 6,500 of a non-existent debt from a victim.
SBU officers of the Main Department of Internal Security exposed a lawyer who wanted to bribe an SBU employee. For money, the offender asked an SBU officer’s help in legalization of foreigners from countries with increased terrorist threat.
The SBU team won the Open Cynologists Championship under the program “Detector Dog Service 2”. Following the results of the competition, the instructor of the SBU CSO “A” with his dog Alpha took the honorable first place in detecting improvised explosive devices (IED).
