The SBU cyber specialists exposed a group of persons selling fake medical certificates via a network of anonymous online resources. In particular, the dealers sold forged certificates with negative COVID-19 test results and medical sick leave certificates.
The SBU blocked network of traders and gas stations that sold low-quality fuel. The scheme involved three companies registered in western Ukraine and eight gas stations in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
The SBU exposed the head of a unit of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on bribe-taking. For money, the official did not impede with unlawful import of cars with foreign registration to Ukraine. The suspects abused the right for temporary importation of personal vehicles with foreign registration for up to 1 year through the Lutsk border detachment checkpoint.
The SBU exposed an interregional sale of poor-quality counterfeit alcohol. Every month, the organizers illegally received almost UAH 2 m. (USD 71,428). The offenders used part of the money to finance criminal groups.
In Luhansk region, the SBU found two militants’ caches with weapons. In particular, SBU officers seized 15 long-range artillery shells, each of which contained 16 kilos of hexogen (high-power explosive).
The SBU Main Investigation Department is conducting a pre-trial investigation of illegal activities of Donetskoblgaz PJSC officials aimed at damaging critical infrastructure facilities. The officials are suspected of sabotage.
