The SBU served a suspicion notice of high treason to a former people’s deputy from the Party of Regions, who headed a district in Kherson region before the Revolution of Dignity. Having escaped to temporary occupied Crimea, the offender provides assistance to the occupation regime.
SBU Cyber experts exposed phone scams. The offenders made international calls under the guise of local ones violating the protection of Ukrainian mobile operators. They guaranteed their customers complete anonymity while calling abroad. The offenders earned almost USD 20 000 per month.
The SBU exposed embezzlement of budget funds allocated for June 2020 flood disaster management in Chernivtsi region. According to findings, a contractor failed to complete emergency recovery work, which resulted in UAH 1.3 m (USD 48,100) misappropriation.

The Security Service of Ukraine exposed another militants’ cache in Luhansk region near the Bilovodsk village, Starobilsk region. Exposed destruction means were intended for production of improvised explosive devices.
The SBU exposed an unlawful mechanism of misappropriation of budget funds. In Cherkasy region, a local entrepreneur set up his own solar panels but registered them as 100 separate. It allows him to sell electricity without license and under the simplified procedure. The experts estimated his damage to the state budget over UAH 40 m. (USD 1,494,000).
