The Security Service of Ukraine together with the Embassy of the State of Israel held special exercise in the city of Kyiv. The aim of the exercise was to develop a mechanism for releasing hostages taken by conditional terrorists in a synagogue in Kyiv.
The SBU jointly with law enforcement agencies of the Federal Republic of Germany, blocked smuggling of narcotics into Ukraine. Law enforcement seized 175 kg of natural narcotic drugs (133 kg of pure precursor). Using this, dealers could produce approximately 100 kg of methadone worth UAH 90 m. (USD 3.3 m.).
In the city of Dnipro, the SBU CI exposed the private companies illegally supplying military goods to Russia. Several affiliated enterprises participated and won tenders of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB. Violating Ukrainian legislation, they traded with the aggressor country.
The Security Service of Ukraine together with representatives of all ministries, the Staff of the National Security and Defense Council and the State Service of Special Communication continue to consistently work on preventing cyber threats to Ukraine's national security.
The SBU exposed the management of Zaporizzhia airport on massive fraud. As a result, the state budget has lost over UAH 9 m. (USD 333,333).
The SBU blocked corruption at the institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences. The management systematically extorted money for illegal lease of institution premises.
The Security Service of Ukraine exposed the head of the Territorial Division of the State Judicial Administration in Kherson region on embezzling budget funds. Allegedly, he organized an illegal mechanism for procuring goods at significantly inflated prices using public funds. The suspect benefited up to 50% from a contract.
The SBU exposed an official of the Chop Border Guard Detachment of organizing transit traffic of illegal migrants to the European Union. In addition, he participated in smuggling of cigarettes abroad.
The SBU's Military Counterintelligence exposed an employee of one of the units of the State Border Guard Service, who illegally manufactured foreign passports and obtained foreign citizenship for money.
