The Security Service of Ukraine exposed businesspersons who misappropriated state funds during the procurement of medical equipment for hospitals fighting COVID-19. According to preliminary estimates, only one episode of illegal activity caused almost UAH 2 m. (USD 74,000) losses to the state budget.

The SBU CI officers exposed a Russian military intelligence agent (GU GSh AF of Russia) in Cherkasy region. The criminal was detained red-handed while receiving secret information about one of the artillery ammunition depots in the region.

The former head of the corporation’s branch is charged with embezzlement of almost UAH 15 m. (555,000).
