The SSU detained another agent of russian military intelligence (better known as the ‘gru’) in Kharkiv region. The perpetrator was preparing coordinates for enemy attacks on the Defense Forces defending the Vovchansk city.
The Security Service and the National Police detained three more fsb accomplices who were preparing sabotage at Ukrzaliznytsia facilities in Odesa and Kharkiv regions.
The Security Service of Ukraine detained another fsb agent in Sumy region. It was a 48-year-old ex-deputy from the banned Party of Regions of the Shostka City Council. According to the case materials, the perpetrator spied on the Defense Forces and called on ruscists to bomb the city.
In Chernivtsi region, the SSU detained two members of a regional branch of the “narodovladdia” (People’s power) movement who were spying on the Defense Forces and trying to prevent mobilization in the west of Ukraine.
In Kharkiv, the SSU and cyberpolice detained a russian accomplice who worked for the military and space forces of the aggressor country.
The SSU and the National Police detained another three arsonists in Kyiv and Zhytomyr region.
The SSU detained another four agents of russian special services who were adjusting enemy strikes in Donetsk region. The suspects tried to provide the aggressor with the coordinates of the Defense Forces' positions in Lyman, Kramatorsk and Sloviansk directions.
The SSU Counterintelligence jointly with the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine and the leadership of Ukroboronprom uncovered new episodes of misappropriation of budget funds for the purchase of components for combat aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The SSU Counterintelligence has exposed another agent group of russia’s GRU (the main directorate of the general staff of the russian armed forces), which operated in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The members of the group were preparing coordinates for enemy air strikes on military and critical infrastructure in the region.
Based on the evidence collected by the SSU, the arsonist, who was fulfilling russia’s orders in Kirovohrad region, has been convicted to 6 years in prison.
The SSU, together with units of the Defense Forces, is working to replenish the exchange fund by capturing russian servicemen on the battlefield. Organizing exchanges and returning Ukrainian defenders and civilians home from russian captivity is one of the top priorities set by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
