In Kyiv region, the SBU exposed an organized group of current and former officials of the State Tax Service and documented their illegal activity. The offenders caused losses to the state budget of over UAH 3 m. (USD 110,000).

SBU cyber specialists stopped the activities of a hacker group. For money, the offenders provided customers with unauthorized access to messengers, social media accounts and e-mail accounts of users.

In the city of Odesa, the Security Service of Ukraine blocked the interregional amphetamine supply channel and smuggling of a large batch of hookah tobacco into Ukraine.

According to the SBU, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine found a judge of the Court of Appeal of Cherkasy Region guilty of committing a corruption offense. He was sentenced to two years in prison.

SBU CI officers revealed a source of Krypton-85 radioactive radiation in Zhytomyr region. Ionizing materials were found in the facilities of a non-operating local enterprise.

The SBU documented and prevented the illegal alienation of property belonging to a Kyiv plant. The enterprise is owned by the Ukrainian state in the person of the State Property Fund.

The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine (HACC), on the basis of evidence collected jointly by the SBU, NABU, Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) and Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO), decided to sequestrate part of the Samara-Western Direction oil product pipeline. The law enforcement is currently investigating the illegal exclusion of the above pipeline from state property. The relevant decision was taken by the investigating judge of the HACC on February 23, 2021.
