In October, in the field of counteracting internal threats to national security, the officers of the SBU Main Directorate in Kyiv city and Kyiv region documented five acts of corruption, seven suspects received notices of suspicion. The total amount of bribe is UAH 1,2 million (USD 41,900).
The SBU conducted a comprehensive check-up to prevent terrorist threats at critical infrastructure facilities of airports. As a result of the check-ups, eight officials were brought to justice, the airport are obliged to pay fines to the state budget.

Allegedly, the scheme was organized by a businessman from Odesa city. To cover up the illegal activity, he set up several bogus firms, the corporate details of which were used for foreign trade operations. The suspect bought grain for cash from local agricultural producers and supplied it to foreign companies without entering the data needed into tax records.
SBU documented illegal activities of an organized group attemting to create a fake city council of Khmelnytskyi City to undermine the social and political situation in the region.
SBU detained the organizer and an active member of a transnational criminal group specializing in large-scale smuggling and sale of hard drugs.
