The Coordination Group of the SBU Anti-Terrorist Center in Zaporizzhya region conducted counter-terrorist tactical and special drills in Berdyansk and Melitopol cities.
The SBU exposed cache with military weapons in Luhansk region.
During 2020, courts convicted 192 offenders for encroaching on Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability, as well as for terrorist activities. All of them were detained by the SBU.
The Security Service of Ukraine has found cache with military destruction means for militants of illegal armed formations in Luhansk region. So from a cache set up in a treeline near Pisky (Novopskovskyi district) the law enforcement seized two Kalashnikov sub-machine guns and almost three hundred rounds to it.
During the special operation in Dnipropetrovsk region the Security Service of Ukraine detained the leader and four members of an organized criminal group, that threatened and tortured civilians. The powerful arsenal of weapons, including machine guns, mines and explosives was seized from the attackers.
In Kyiv region, the SBU exposed a cell of the "Islamic State" international terrorist organization. Its leader is a militant wanted in the Eastern European for participation in hostilities in Syria. In 2019, he arrived in Ukraine with forged documents and gathered a group of associates from foreigners.
The SBU found two caches arranged by militants in Luhansk region. Both were set up in the summer of 2014 during warfare against ATO forces. Law enforcement seized 18 artillery shells.
The Security Service of Ukraine blocked the activities of an organized group in the Kyiv region, attempting to set up a scheme for the illegal sale of weapons and ammunition. Allegedly, among the potential clients were representatives of criminal circles of the region.
SSU CI officers helped to convict the former official, who has the 2nd form access to state secrets in the Presidential Administration and the National Security and Defense Council, for high treason.
In Odesa region, the SBU CI exposed and stopped human trafficking, illegal import of weapons and excisable goods.
The SBU found four caches with military weapons in Zaporizzhia and Odesa regions. Allegedly, militants of so-called L/DNR set up a cache on the territory of the Berdiansk district in 2014 in order to carry out sabotage activities.
Since early 2021, the SBU has opened 328 criminal proceedings related to encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, creation of terrorist groups or organizations.
